Every year I do original nativity paintings. In 2023 I wanted to create a painting that told the story of three wise men of high stature who traveled for months with to regal gifts to kneel down to a child who they recognized was greater than them. This is where the idea for Journey To Bethlehem was born and it is still my favorite Christmas painting.
This year I decided to re-create the Journey To Bethlehem. The painting tells the story of their lengthy journey following the bright star to a manger. The wise men and their camels are adorned with rich clothing, carrying gifts so valuable they are held in gold vessels.
